Did you know North Carolina is one of only a handful of states that uses a due diligence purchase contract?

Here’s the basic idea:
During the negotiated due diligence period, a buyer can walk away for any reason — or no reason at all.

What they lose: the due diligence funds given to the seller with the executed contract at the beginning.

What they keep: their earnest money — as long as they terminate before the due diligence period expires. That deadline is a hard, fast date and time.
Miss it, and the earnest money can be at risk too.

Two negotiated numbers matter in every NC offer:
1. How much the due diligence fee is
2. How long the due diligence period lasts

It’s fun being friends with the Town of Boone Police Department community liaison!

Kat does so much more to support and strengthen the relationship between the department and the people of Boone. She’s an expert in her field, has deep Appalachian roots, is a people person, and a fabulous conversationalist. We are lucky to have her!

Sold! This owner is going to join family at the coast but she made her little place a home while here. She built a 900+ square foot detached building that served as an art studio for her but the options are limitless. She loved living in Zionville and is sad to leave. We wish her all good things.
