Hello all. Asking for money—even for a friend—makes me uncomfortable. I usually stay quiet about these things. Please know that if I’m posting this, it’s because the need is truly urgent.

I’m reaching out on behalf of a dear friend, Simone, who has been hit by a series of life-altering tragedies. In January, she lost her husband. While still navigating that profound grief and the mounting medical debt from his hospital stay, she was involved in a serious car accident.

Her neighbors have started a fundraiser to repair her car, her only way to get to work.

For those of us who know her, we know she is a fighter, but no one should have to fight this many battles alone.

If you can spare a small amount, it will go directly toward her transportation so she can maintain her livelihood. Also, please consider sharing this. Every bit of visibility helps her find a path forward.
