Life Update: we made it through “Maycember”! 😅

This month brought all the things: spirit days, teacher gifts, field trips, a surprise spring snowstorm, Mother’s Day, Ryan’s birthday, and the end of the school year. Somehow, we now have a future 3rd grader and Kindergartener. ❤️

We kicked off summer with a family road trip to Omaha for a graduation celebration, and I have to admit—the Omaha Zoo absolutely lived up to the hype. Six hours later and we still didn’t see everything!

Now we’re back in Colorado, settling into summer mode (or at least trying to). This will be our first summer balancing two full-time work schedules with two kids at home, so I’m expecting equal parts calendar coordination, snack distribution, and chaos.

Meanwhile, the real estate market is doing what healthy markets do: buyers are taking their time, value matters, and pricing strategy is more important than ever. The market isn’t bad—it’s just no longer handing out participation trophies for simply existing on the MLS. 😉

Not every closing table comes with champagne and celebration. Sometimes it comes with a deep breath, a lot of memories, and gratitude for a home that held a chapter of someone’s life so well.
This house served its purpose beautifully — it was a safe place, a gathering place, and a growing place. And while it’s time to hand the keys to someone new, that doesn’t make the goodbye any less meaningful.
Here’s to the homes that become part of our story, even if only for a season.

Read that again...patience is no longer optional. Concessions are no longer a rare occurrence; they are the norm. Buyers want payment relief and sellers are often the ones helping make that happen. Does this mean a housing crash is looming? NO! But the market has seen a big post-covid correction. It doesn't mean homes aren't selling; it is just taking more time and intentional effort to get to the finish line. My goal as your advisor is to set those expectations up front and talk you through strategies to get you from Just Listed to Just Sold!

A quick life update and “Chaotic Quarter” recap… and yes, that’s the official title 😂

2026 came in HOT—real estate picked right back up, buyers were ready, sellers were ready, and I’ve basically been running ever since (grateful doesn’t even begin to cover it). And in the middle of all of that, I’m still proudly wearing my two full-time hats: realtor and mom…which some days feels like a competitive sport 🏃🏼‍♀️

At home, we matched that same energy. Ryan powered through his first tax season at his new firm (think 5am mornings + 7 day work weeks), and right in the middle of it all, his dad had a major procedure…on Tax Day, because of course it was.

The best news: everything went as well as we could have hoped, and we’re so thankful to be on the other side of that ❤️

Now we’re rolling into May thinking things might slow down a bit…which is honestly funny considering we’re heading into end-of-school chaos (field trips, spirit weeks, all the things), celebrating Mother’s Day + Ryan’s birthday, traveling to Omaha (and maybe Oklahoma 👀), AND adding another investment property to the mix.

So if life feels a little full right now, same over here 🙋🏼‍♀️ Full schedules, full hearts, and doing my best to show up for my people at home and my clients every single day.

Here’s to riding out the chaos, soaking up the moments, and maybe—just maybe—finding a little downtime along the way.
