You know that old real estate saying, “The best way to get a deal is to go on vacation”? I’m convinced there’s truth to it, because I’ve seen it happen time and time again!

While I was exploring New Orleans this past weekend, I was also negotiating a purchase agreement for these wonderful clients. Fast forward a few days, and I’m back in Colorado, they’re back in Arizona, and we’re all getting ready for their next chapter in Longmont! 🎉

Now we just need to get to closing… and I think a little gumbo and beignets might be in order to celebrate! ⚜️☕️

So excited for my clients and their move to Colorado! ❤️

Back to business after a whirlwind trip to New Orleans to celebrate our 10 year anniversary (which, yes, was in September but also the middle of Ryan’s busy season).

- We walked everywhere
- Got a cup of gumbo at every restaurant we stopped at
- Ate Beignets everyday (sometime multiple times a day)
- Had a lovely dinner at Galatoire's Restaurant
- Saw Bourbon street by day and night (😬)
- Thoroughly enjoyed a kid-free trip!

It feels like our first real fall day and while we know this is Colorado and we never assume the weather will be consistent this feels like a perfect day to remind you of this TIP: If you plan to list your house anytime in the next 6 months, GET👏🏻EX👏🏻TER👏🏻RIOR👏🏻PHOTOS👏🏻DONE👏🏻NOW. Your lawn will be green, your trees will have leaves on them, the fall colors will be visible and you will stand out against every other listing whose exterior photos have dead grass, bare trees, and snow on the ground.

Some closings just hit you right in the feels. We had the honor of helping sell this beautiful cabin near Carter Lake for a client who came to own it after his friend passed away. Selling this cabin was the final page of this chapter closing and it was emotional but beautiful. The buyer and seller were able to meet at the closing table and the transition was perfect with our client saying "____(who was the friend who passed) would have liked him" when referring to the new buyer. 🥹
These are the moments that make this career so worth it. As we have said many, many times before: it's not just a transaction, it's being with people through some of the biggest moments of their life. And I am so grateful to be trusted to help them navigate it all.
