The Green River Ferry at Mammoth Cave National Park will reopen March 5 and resume daily service from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. CST.

The ferry was closed while repairs were completed following damage during spring 2025 flooding.

Repairs included:

• Installation of new 1,000-foot navigational cables
• Stabilization of 20-foot support towers
• Replacement of the 15.5-ton anchor for the navigational system
• Installation of a new engine and generator
• New paint applied to the vessel
• Completion of required U.S. Coast Guard inspection

The ferry will now return to normal daily operation. Link in the comments.
