What a wonderful evening at the Women in Philanthropy of Sarasota Charitable Faire! 💜

We were honored to be one of the local nonprofits invited to share our mission and connect with women who are passionate about making a difference in our community.

CEO & President Ashley Brown and Director of Client Services Brent Giangregorio enjoyed meeting supporters, sharing stories of impact, and talking about how the Women's Resource Center helps women navigate change and build brighter futures.

A heartfelt thank you to Women in Philanthropy of Sarasota and its community partners for this opportunity and for their generous $5,000 investment in our mission. We are grateful to be part of a community that believes in the power of women supporting women!

For the past two years, the University Park Women’s Club has selected the Women’s Resource Center as one of its community outreach partners, helping to create opportunities for women and families throughout our region. At their recent Summer Luncheon, WRC client and Supported Scholar Sherry Washington shared her powerful story of resilience, determination, and transformation, reminding everyone of the life-changing impact that support and opportunity can make.

The event culminated with a generous check presentation by Daria Charlesworth, recognizing the incredible fundraising efforts of the club's members throughout the year. The proceeds will be shared equally between the Women's Resource Center and Feeding Empty Little Tummies, supporting two organizations dedicated to helping local families thrive.

To the members of the University Park Women’s Club: thank you for your generosity, leadership, and commitment to strengthening our community. Together, we are creating brighter futures, one story, one scholarship, and one family at a time. 💙

💚 Today, we honor and celebrate Juneteenth, a day that commemorates freedom, resilience, and the ongoing pursuit of equity and justice.

The Women's Resource Center will be closed today, June 19, in observance of Juneteenth. We will reopen and resume regular services on Monday.

As we reflect on the significance of this day, we encourage our community to learn, listen, and honor the history and contributions of Black Americans.

A heartfelt thank you to the Bradenton Kiwanis Club for their generous support of the Women's Resource Center!

Thanks to their investment, we can complete critical preventative maintenance projects at our Manatee Avenue location, helping us maintain a safe, welcoming, and reliable space for the thousands of women who turn to WRC each year for support, resources, and opportunities to thrive.
