Buying a home without a home inspection is akin to getting married on the first date...what could possibly go wrong? For New York home buyers, understanding home buying regulations and the Right to home inspection is crucial in ensuring a smooth transaction in New York State.

08/11/2026

Home inspection is, by nature, a solitary profession.
We work independently. We make judgment calls independently. We build our businesses independently. And while that independence is part of what makes this field rewarding, it can also limit growth when there’s no community to lean on.

That’s exactly why NYSAHI exists - to give inspectors across New York a place to connect, collaborate, and strengthen their businesses through shared knowledge and support.

NYSAHI membership includes:

Online CE classes you can access from anywhere in the state

Full‑member meetings via live video chat, keeping everyone connected regardless of location

Active sub‑chapters hosting monthly discussions and peer learning

Instant access to the Board of Directors and the full NYSAHI community, ensuring you’re never without guidance or support

This is more than a professional association - it’s a network built to reduce isolation, increase collaboration, and elevate the standards of our industry.

If you’re looking to grow your inspection business, expand your knowledge, and connect with professionals who understand the challenges you face every day, NYSAHI is the community to join.

Join NYSAHI and stop building your career alone.
Your network is waiting. Your support system is ready.

One of the strongest benefits of joining the New York State Association of Home Inspectors (NYSAHI) is the direct access to knowledgeable, experienced professionals who are ready to help you with real‑world inspection questions.

NYSAHI’s directors and board members include long‑time inspectors, educators, and industry veterans. When you have a question - licensing, education, unusual defects, odd conditions on the job, business setup, reporting issues, a quick email, phone call, or text unleashes a team that knows this profession inside and out. Responses are fast, thorough, and grounded in decades of field experience.

A Thoughtful Letter of Support for the Right to Home Inspection

We wanted to share this letter from the President of Radalink, a respected radon monitoring and testing company. It’s encouraging to see industry leaders recognize how important the Right to Home Inspection (RTHI) bill is for New York homebuyers.
We want to express our greatest gratitude to Radalink for their support!

Their message is simple:
Independent inspections help protect families, and buyers deserve clear access to them.

Support like this means a lot — and it helps show lawmakers that this bill isn’t just an inspector issue. It’s a consumer‑protection issue.

If you believe buyers should have the chance to make informed decisions, please consider sharing this post or reaching out to your representatives to express your support for RTHI.

Every voice helps move this forward.
