Cindy M. Gotobed Associate Broker at Coldwell Banker Prime Properties

Cindy M. Gotobed Associate Broker at Coldwell Banker Prime Properties I was born and raised in the Capital Region and have chosen to raise my family here as well.

I am a full service Real Estate Associate Broker with two degrees in architecture and over 20 years of experience helping clients buy, sell and build their homes! Having lived in upstate New York for so many years affords me the opportunity to truly serve you and all of your needs. I have extensive knowledge of what Capital Region has to offer its residents including schools, towns, populations. I

consider the tri city area to be one of the best places to live and am dedicated to helping others feel the same way through my passion for real estate. Before beginning my career in real estate, I earned an Associates and a Bachelors degree in Architecture. After college I spent several years working for large reputable firms in Rochester NY learning more about structures, business practice and negotiating. Several years in the field helped me decide that a desk job was not what I loved about Architecture and that I wanted to be more involved with people, families and communities. As a Realtor I am able to connect with people across the region as well as find homes and buildings with features that suit their needs and expectations. My background and training have given me knowledge and skills that can not compare to other agents in this industry. I realize clients are looking for someone who is knowledgeable, caring, trustworthy, and dependable. My aim is to ensure you experience all four qualities whether you are interested in buying, selling or investment properties!

Questions Buyers Should Ask About Utility Costs
Before you fall in love with a home, it's worth asking a question that often gets overlooked: What does it actually cost to live here? The purchase price is just the beginning. Monthly utility bills can vary wildly from one property to the next, and they can significantly affect how comfortable that...

How to Make Your Home Look Move-In Ready
Most sellers focus on price, but buyers are making a different calculation when they walk through your door. They're asking whether the home feels like somewhere they could actually live. That answer forms fast, often before they've made it past the entryway. So the question worth asking before you list...

How to Maintain Decks and Patios for Long-Term Use
Your outdoor living space is worth protecting. Whether you have a wood deck, a composite platform, or a poured concrete patio, neglect tends to compound quickly. A small crack ignored now can become a serious repair bill later. The good news? Most of what keeps these spaces in good shape is straightforward...

How to Evaluate Offers Beyond the Purchase Price
The number at the top gets your attention. It always does. But sellers who anchor to the purchase price and stop there often find themselves caught off guard when a deal starts to wobble — or falls apart entirely — weeks after they thought they'd made the right call.
Here's the thing: A high offer...

Outdoor Shade Ideas for Comfortable Summer Living
Most backyards have a window — maybe an hour, maybe two — where they're genuinely pleasant to be in. After that, the sun takes over, and everyone retreats inside. If that sounds familiar, the fix probably isn't a bigger fan.

How to Decide Between a Starter Home and a Forever Home
Starter home or forever home? Here's the thing — most buyers approach this question backward. They start by browsing listings and then try to figure out what they're actually looking for. How Market Timing Can Affect Your Listing Strategy
If you're thinking about selling your home, timing is probably one of the first things on your mind. Maybe you've heard spring is the best time to list. Maybe headlines about mortgage rates have you wondering whether it makes sense to wait.

What to Look for in a Home Inspection Report
You've made an offer, it's been accepted, and now comes one of the most important steps in the buying process: the home inspection. The report that follows can run anywhere from 20 to 100 pages. That's a lot of information, and knowing how to read it makes all the difference.
