Sometimes the best lunch in Los Angeles isn’t found at a five-star restaurant....

It’s found at a legendary roadside stand on the Historic Crenshaw Corridor.

I met my friend Kathleen at Earle’s on Crenshaw for a quick hot dog lunch and was reminded why this place has such a loyal following. Simple.... delicious.... and packed with neighborhood character.

Los Angeles is full of hidden gems, and this is one that’s been serving up smiles for decades. Thank you, Earle and family!

I just dropped off my ballot one day before Election Day and it feels good to have it done.

I’ll admit it.... California ballots aren’t exactly light reading. Between the candidates, judges, and ballot measures, it takes a little time and research to make informed decisions.

But that’s exactly why voting matters.

Whether you agree with me or not isn’t the point. The point is participating. Too many important decisions are made by too few people simply because they don’t vote.
