This is a LONG ONE!! But we feel so honored that our client took the time to share their detailed thoughts about their experience with The Skinner Team! At the end of the day our calling is to walk with folks, work hard and put THEM first!

I was not a great client. The Skinner Team, i.e. Cathie and Scot, were GREAT realtors.
I had the rare opportunity to remain a client with the Skinners because I overruled their very wise opening price advice and said I wanted more. Lo and behold, the market quickly shifted to a buyer's market (just like they wisely predicted) where we then ended up chasing the buyer for several agonizing months in a dual-mortgage scenario rather than making a quick sale at a very opportune time for the still-great price they had recommended.
I trend toward overly literary reviews, so in my best attempt to keep this concise and to help prospective new clients understand what they're getting into: here's a bullet list of what I learned with Cathie and Scot:
• Trust them - Just because you want to jump into a Scrooge McDuck vault of coins after your sale, that doesn't mean your house is worth that value. They do their comps right. They know the market. That's why you're hiring them.
• Trust them - Most people claim a faith, ideology, or worldview that *looks* good to others while not truly abiding by it. Cathie and Scot don't play that game. They are among those rare, truly honest people who stand by their word and their beliefs. They do what they say and they work exceptionally hard to do so - EVEN IF IT MEANS SCOT MOWS MY DANG LAWN ON FATHER'S DAY because I'm out of town and didn't hire somebody in advance like I should have. I didn't lie about being a not great client.
• Trust them - They have been doing this for decades. They have built relationships with contractors, other agents, and clients buying and selling for decades. They know what they're doing.
• They have a network - They recommended their favorite contractor, he did EXCEPTIONAL work for an absurdly affordable price. I'm a stickler for quality, so most of the time I do stuff myself. I wish I had instead used him for everything leading up to the sale because his quality was above my own, and the cost to do it all was jaw-droppingly affordable compared to the value of my inner peace during a stressful life transition.
I could go into so many details on how much they sacrificed, held to their word, and poured so much extra effort into my home sale, but I really don't want to set a precedent for future clients to expect them to work that hard on *every* sale. But rest assured, they only ever stood by us and gave it everything they had to produce the best result.
Looks like I turned this into a novel after all. If you made it this far, please do consider Cathie and Scot (The Skinner Team Realty, if ya wanna be fancy) and please, please don't be as difficult and stubborn as I was; you'll have an easier transaction on a shorter timeline with better results. You can trust them.
