Three closings this week... and if there was a theme, it was this: sometimes it takes more than one contract to get to the closing table!
We’re in a different real estate market right now. Homes are taking longer to sell. Buyers are changing their minds mid-transaction. Contingencies are more common. And sometimes a contract falls apart for reasons that have absolutely nothing to do with the property itself. This week was a perfect example.
🏡 Lindale, GA: A beautiful home only a few years old, had plenty of interest, but several buyers needed lengthy contingencies and the timing just never seemed to line up. We kept going, and eventually the right buyer came along with a great agent, excited to make it home.
🏡 Douglasville, GA: We could probably write a book about this transaction! One buyer got cold feet mid-transaction. Another went under contract and never delivered the earnest money. At one point, it was starting to feel like the “unsellable house.” It wasn’t. We just hadn’t found the right buyer yet. This week, we finally handed the keys over to its new owner! 🌳 Buchanan, GA: This land had its own journey. One buyer decided to move out of state the day before closing. Another decided mid-way through the contract that they wanted to build somewhere else. Then along came the right buyers, represented by a great Realtor Jennifer Hammond, and everything finally came together. The team at McMahan Jones, LLC made this smooth as always!
Three very different properties. Three very different journeys. Three reminders that a contract falling apart does not mean your property won’t sell. We know how frustrating it can be when things don’t go according to plan. That’s where having the right people beside you matters.
Not every transaction is going to be perfect... especially in this market. We’re going to keep showing up, keep working through the challenges and keep pushing toward the closing table! Trust the process. The right buyer may simply be the next one!
