As proud corporate sponsors, our Childress Klein team had an incredible time supporting the UMAR Legacy Fund, which provides compassionate care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

This beloved annual event, formerly known as the UMAR Golf Classic, continues to unite community champions for a day filled with fun, fellowship, and philanthropy. With a renewed focus on expanding opportunities for all, we were thrilled to tee off at a new course this year!

🎉 Happy 45th Work Anniversary, Susan Davis! 🎉

Today, we’re thrilled to celebrate a truly special milestone: Susan’s 45 years with Childress Klein!

Susan began her journey with Trammell Crow back in 1980, and since then, she has become an essential part of our CK Atlanta team. From her early days working with Geoff Tyers on the construction of all the buildings at the Galleria — starting with the iconic 100 Galleria — Susan has played a key role in shaping our projects.

Over the years, she has expertly managed construction budgets and loan draws for our Atlanta projects. After Geoff retired, Susan stepped up to assist Mitchell Taylor with the development of our industrial and storage projects, ensuring everything ran smoothly. She has also supported Gordon Buchmiller and Don Childress, all while serving as the Office Manager for the Galleria.

What truly sets Susan apart is her dedication to helping everyone around her. She knows all the tenants, vendors, lenders, and construction teams, making her the face of CK in Atlanta. Whether it’s lending a hand to the engineering and security teams or ensuring her colleagues have what they need, Susan is always there with a smile.

We’re always thrilled to celebrate our amazing work family, both past and present!

We had the joy of reuniting with some familiar faces. Our friend Kathy Hill, who served as our office manager and the executive assistant to Landon and Fred for many years, joined us in visiting JJ, our cherished receptionist for 33 incredible years. We miss JJ's eloquent words and warm presence, but her energy and enthusiasm continue to inspire us every day.

It was a wonderful gathering with partners David Pitser and David Haggart, reminding us that the bonds we create at CK extend far beyond the workplace.

Today marks a significant milestone as we celebrate Portia Grant's 25 years with Childress Klein. Starting as a temporary accounting assistant in 2000, Portia has grown into a vital leader in our Office Division, and her journey has been truly inspiring.

Portia's dedication to her work and her team is evident in everything she does. She has played a crucial role in managing our office portfolio of 4.5 million square feet across 26 properties, always ensuring that our tenants and clients receive exceptional service. Her commitment to the growth and well-being of her colleagues speaks volumes about her character.

On May 8, 2025, Childress Klein, in partnership with , co-hosted an incredible event featuring 40 teams competing in perfect sunny weather! We are thrilled to share that our team made it to the playoffs, showcasing some fantastic skills and teamwork!

A heartfelt thank you to all the volunteers, sponsors, and everyone who came out to support their colleagues, friends, and family. Your enthusiasm and dedication made this event truly special.

Congratulations to our champion, Berkeley Capital Advisors, and our runner-up, JLL - Red! Your hard work on the court was inspiring!

Throwing it back to the incredible time our retail division had at their annual spring division retreat — where they gathered to discuss the evolving retail landscape and its impact on our business. From changing consumer behaviors to technological advancements and the competition for premium retail space, we engaged in meaningful conversations that will shape our strategies moving forward.

In addition to these important discussions, we also focused on team building, strengthening our connections and collaboration. The beautiful setting of Wild Dunes Resort provided the perfect backdrop for reflection and inspiration.
