Another seller closing to celebrate 🎉
This one started two years ago.
I met these clients while hosting an open house in their neighborhood. They stopped by, we got to talking, and they asked if I could come take a look at their home afterward to discuss what selling *could* look like for them. As luck would have it, I had time to swing by that same day.
They had done an incredible job with their home. Truly one of those houses where you walk in and immediately know people have loved living there.
But timing matters.
At the time, they were just weeks away from welcoming their second baby, and after talking everything through, they decided it simply wasn’t the right season to make a move yet.
And honestly? I respected that completely.
Right or wrong from a “sales” perspective, I’m never going to pressure someone into buying or selling if the timing or situation doesn’t feel right for their family. Real estate is important, but so is life. So while we stayed in touch over the years, it was never with pressure attached… just a “hey, I’m here when you’re ready” kind of relationship while I continued doing my thing with other clients and making time for my own kiddo too.
So I was genuinely excited when they reached back out nearly two years later and said they were ready to tackle the prep homework and get this thing on the market.
And this one surprised me a little.
It’s a fantastic home with stunning features in a gem of a Waxhaw neighborhood. Two years ago, another listing I had in the neighborhood had multiple offers opening weekend. But the 2026 market is a very different animal, even when pricing, prep, positioning and promotion are all on point.
One of the biggest conversations I’m having with sellers right now is about patience. Buyers are absolutely still out there, but they are not moving with urgency. A properly priced home does not automatically mean instant offers anymore. It means strategy, strong marketing, smart negotiation, and sometimes simply allowing the right buyer enough time to find their way to the house.
This one hit that mark.
After 39 days on market, which was still faster than comparable homes nearby, the right buyer came along. And today my clients officially closed on the sale of their home 🏡
I love getting to watch clients accomplish one goal so they can move forward into whatever the next chapter looks like for them.
Congratulations to my sellers, and congratulations to the buyers getting a truly beautiful home.
