North Pines Neighborhood Charlottesville North Pines Community North Pines boasts large lots on 2+ acres of hardwood trees, with the majority of the homes ranging from 3 acres and up to 4+.

North Pines is a neighborhood of approximately 100 homes located in Northern Albemarle County only 10 minutes from the Charlottesville Albemarle Airport http://www.gocho.com/ and within 5 minutes of the National Grounds Intelligence Center, the Defense Intelligence Agency, General Electric, the University of Virginia Research Park, PRA International http://www.praintl.com, the Hollymead Town Center and the new Martha Jefferson Emergency Room (soon to open)! The community is bordered by the North Fork of the Rivanna River and is fortunately not a part of a Property Owners Association. There is a road maintenance agreement for a few of the streets that are not included as a part f the state maintenance. The streets are all named after Latin botanical names. Lonicera Way is the main thoroughfare and each of the streets including Lonicera dead-end into cul-de-sacs. Lonicera is the Latin name for Honeysuckle and the fragrance of the flower is evident to homeowners on their daily walks. This is Tricia Traugott, many in the neighborhood know what has been going on recently in my life and I want to thank those of you who have reached out and done so many things to help me in the past couple of months and more! Thank you for the cards, thank you for meals. Thank you for rides. Thank you for visits, I just don't know where I'd be without you as my neighbors and friends. And super special thanks to my friends who were with me on 4/27-the hugs and smiles and help during the service plus MB's standing up to speak ❤️! Thank you to Bill and Michelle for moving special items over to the fellowship hall 🤗I also got a very sweet card from the Neighbors on Forsythia, thank you to Roy and Michelle for sending it to me ❤️.
Also, I know some people have asked me if I was planning on moving, no, I love my neighborhood! It is my happy place! FYI- Angus and crew are in the neighborhood treating the roads. They are using a chemical mixture that is NOT pet friendly and you won’t want to be tracking it into your house.
This was an unusual storm combined with
prolonged below freezing temps. Hopefully, this will greatly improve the road conditions.

Santa Claus is trading in his sleigh for a fire truck this holiday season! Join Albemarle County Fire Rescue as we spread festive cheer throughout the community.

Keep your eyes peeled and your ears tuned for the sound of holiday sirens as Santa and his firefighter helpers cruise through local neighborhoods atop a decked-out fire truck. It's a magical tradition you won’t want to miss!

Fire trucks and Santa will stop at the route locations marked with an asterisk. All other locations are drive by (travel route will remain on main and connecting roads). Times are approximate.

Neighbors, not sure what everybody is doing this year for Halloween trick-or-treating but this first year in 24 years that we will not been passing out Candy!
