Most home buyers walk through their future home look at walls, nod & sign. But the final walkthrough is one of the last chances to catch problems before closing, and a lot of the important stuff isn't visible from the middle of the room.
Instead of just looking around, actually:
โ–ซ๏ธTurn on faucets and check for leaks under sinks.
โ–ซ๏ธFlush toilets.
โ–ซ๏ธTest the heat and AC.
โ–ซ๏ธTurn lights on and off.
โ–ซ๏ธRun major appliances briefly (dishwasher, oven, washer/dryer if included).
โ–ซ๏ธOpen and close windows and exterior doors.
โ–ซ๏ธTest the garage door.
โ–ซ๏ธVerify all negotiated repairs were completed.
โ–ซ๏ธMake sure the appliances and fixtures that were supposed to stay are still there.
โ–ซ๏ธCheck that the sellers have fully moved out.
โ–ซ๏ธConfirm you received all keys, remotes, fobs, and access codes.

The goal of a final walkthrough isn't to confirm the house still exists. It's to confirm that everything you agreed to buy is there, working, and in the same condition it was supposed to be in before you hand over a very large amount of money.
