The latest numbers show a market that continues to move in a positive direction, with home values and sales both up from this time last year.

🏡 Median home price: $569,945 — up 7.3%
📈 Homes sold YTD: 1,754 — up 4.3%
🏠 Current active listings: 1,133
⏱️ Average days on market: 81 — down 11%

For buyers, more inventory means more options. For sellers, rising values remain encouraging, but pricing strategically is still key.

Idaho just took the No. 1 spot. 🥇

WalletHub's 2026 Best States to Live In report ranked all 50 states across 51 measures of livability, and Idaho came out on top, ahead of New Jersey and Wisconsin.

The report points to low taxes, strong income growth, short commute times, and low crime rates. Idaho also has one of the lowest median real estate tax rates in the country at 0.5%, plus the eighth-highest homeownership rate.

Labor Day weekend on the mountain 🍻 The 33rd Annual Fall Fest runs September 4 through 7 at Schweitzer, with live music, more than 80 beers, ciders, and seltzers from around the Pacific Northwest, plus a wine tent, vendor tents, and food trucks.

The kids get their own version of the party. Summer activities run all weekend, and there is a build your own soda station to keep them busy while the adults sip and catch up.
