The White House recognized what our community already knew.

On January 14th, 1993, Union Gospel Mission was recognized by President George H. W. Bush with the Daily Point of Light Award, honoring organizations making a meaningful impact in their communities.

In recognizing UGM, President Bush said, “We must not allow ourselves to be measured by the sum of our possessions or the size of our bank accounts. The true measure of any individual is found in the way he or she treats others—and the person who regards others with love, respect, and charity holds a priceless treasure in his heart.”

More than three decades later, those words continue to reflect the heart of our mission as we serve our neighbors with love, dignity, and the hope of the Gospel.

This free, family-friendly event is bringing the community together for live music, visual art, fashion, breakdancing, and more. While you enjoy the event, you can also help support our neighbors experiencing homelessness by bringing a donation for Union Gospel Mission.

EQ Records will be collecting goods at the event to support UGM and our work serving people in need throughout the Inland Northwest. If you would like to give in another way, scan the QR code at the event to learn more about how you can support UGM.

Twenty-five years later, we still remember September 11, 2001. We remember the lives that were lost and the people who stepped forward to help their neighbors in a moment of great uncertainty.

That day changed our nation, but it also reminded us of the importance of coming together and caring for one another. As we remember those we lost, may we continue to choose compassion, serve those around us, and hold onto hope.
