City Council officially approved the new “Elevate Downtown” plan this week, which will help guide future investment, housing, transportation, walkability, infrastructure, and development throughout downtown for the next decade and beyond.

The previous downtown plan helped generate approximately $2.6 BILLION in investment throughout downtown Colorado Springs, adding:

✔️ Thousands of residential units

Big news for Fort Carson soldiers and military families!

Starting next week, Fort Carson will launch the new Carson Connector, a FREE app-based shuttle service that works similarly to Uber or Lyft.

Instead of fixed shuttle routes and stops, riders will be able to request transportation directly through an app to get around post and even connect to other transit locations near Pikes Peak State College and the Venetucci Walmart area.

As a military spouse and REALTOR® here in Colorado Springs, I know transportation challenges can create real stress for military families, especially:
• young soldiers without vehicles
• one-car households
• newly relocating families
• spouses juggling schedules and childcare

This is a fantastic step toward improving quality of life and accessibility for the military community here in Colorado Springs and Fountain.
