Every year, the mountain gets louder and on June 21, 2026, it happens again.

The Pikes Peak International Hill Climb is back, and it’s one of the most intense motorsports events on the planet. Known as “The Race to the Clouds,” drivers push their machines (and themselves) up 12.42 miles of winding Pikes Peak Highway, climbing over 4,700 feet in elevation with no room for error and no margin for hesitation.

This isn’t a track race. It’s raw, unpredictable, and completely unforgiving, where weather can change mid-run, guardrails disappear in sections, and every second matters from base to summit.

Fans line the mountain early, claiming spots to watch cars, bikes, and drivers battle gravity, altitude, and time itself. The sound, the speed, and the scenery make it one of the most unique racing experiences in the world.

The Colorado Springs Western Street Breakfast returns June 17, 2026, bringing one of the city’s most iconic Western celebrations back to downtown.

“Pancakes in the Mix in ’26!” This historic event kicks off rodeo season and serves as a community gathering filled with tradition, music, and family-friendly fun. It also helps launch the excitement leading into the NFR Open at the Pikes Peak or Bust Rodeo.

Downtown streets are closed and transformed into a Western-style breakfast gathering spot, complete with hay bales, a hot breakfast, and live entertainment throughout the morning.

Expect a full lineup of Western heritage and family activities, including:

> Live music from Exit West and the Flying W Wranglers
> Performances by Sweetwater Native American Hoop Dancers
