September is National Recovery Month. 💜

Recovery is possible, and no one should have to walk the journey alone. Every day at Oliver Gospel, especially this month, we’re celebrating the courage it takes to seek help and highlighting the resources available to those ready for a new beginning.

Watch as one of our Recovery Program staff members shares about addiction and the importance of recovery. We pray that every person struggling with addiction knows they are not defined by their addiction and that, through Christ, there is always hope for a new beginning.

If you or a loved one is struggling with addiction, please reach out to us at [email protected] or (803) 254-6470.

The bench finally has a location… the OLIVER GOSPEL COURTYARD!

Our Executive Director, Kyle Harding, will be there for 24 hours on Oct. 8–9 as part of the nationwide initiative, Conversations on a Bench. We invite our community to slow down, take a seat, and have honest conversations about homelessness, addiction, mental health, and what it means to care for our neighbors.

So, Columbia, will we see you there?

🗓️ Oct. 8 at 3 pm – Oct. 9 at 3 pm
📍 1100 Taylor St., Columbia, SC

Can’t be there in person? The entire event will be livestreamed on Facebook!

To sign up for an in-person conversation and get the livestream link, visit www.linktr.ee/olivergospel.

P.S. There will be free coffee from Oliver Gospel Roastery for everyone who comes to have a conversation. 😉

Today, we pause to intentionally remember the lives lost and the lives forever altered by the tragic events of September 11, 2001.

In a world that often feels overcome by darkness, may we find peace and hope in the light of Jesus Christ.
