We don’t know its whole story. But someone does.
To most people, it’s just an old chair.
To someone, it was where Dad drank his morning coffee.
Where Grandma folded laundry.
Where a child climbed up to feel tall.
Where hard conversations were had, and quiet moments were treasured.
This chair came from the home of a family that immigrated from Cuba many years ago. We don’t know the memories it holds or the journey it took to get here.
But someone does.
That’s one of the greatest privileges of what we do at Rosie’s House. Every home is filled with objects that may seem ordinary to the outside world, but to a family, they’re woven into the story of a life.
As we help seniors and their loved ones transition to a new chapter, we’re reminded that we’re not just moving belongings.
We’re handling pieces of someone’s history.
And that’s something we’ll never take lightly.
