This Memorial Day, I’m taking a moment to reflect not only as a local realtor, but as a proud military mom.

Like many families across the country, Memorial Day carries a deeper meaning in our household. While today often marks the unofficial start of summer — cookouts, gatherings, time with loved ones — it is first and foremost a day to honor and remember the brave men and women who gave their lives in service.

Watching my son serve has only deepened my appreciation for the sacrifice, dedication, and courage shown by military members and their families every single day. Today, my heart is especially with those who have lost loved ones in service.

As we enjoy this long weekend and the freedoms that allow us to build homes, raise families, and create meaningful lives, may we also pause with gratitude for those who made those freedoms possible.
