Dear CRBR Members and Affiliates and Friends,

It is with a very heavy heart that we share the heartbreaking news of the passing of our Executive Administrator, Nancy Ray.

Nancy experienced a sudden heart-related medical emergency on September 6th and was hospitalized. Despite receiving medical care and undergoing follow-up procedures, Nancy passed away early morning 9/15/2026.

Nancy has been an important part of the Capital Region Board of REALTORS® family for over 14 years, and her dedication, support, and presence within our organization will be deeply missed.

Our thoughts and heartfelt condolences are with Nancy’s family and loved ones during this difficult time. We will keep our membership and affiliates informed should the family wish to share memorial service information or other plans. A follow-up email will be sent once additional information becomes available.

Please keep Nancy and her family in your thoughts and prayers.

September is REALTOR Safety Month! Thank you, Ben Cushing, for teaching your REALTOR Safety class to our members. Many thanks to Kurt Grassett of Norway Hills Home Inspections for registering attendees and being our Affiliate Spotlight. Stay safe always!

The CRBR office will be closed on Friday, September 4 and Monday, September 7 for the Labor Day holiday weekend.

NAR's Safety Program was created to educate and empower REALTORS to avoid job-related risks and to create a safety plan for themselves. NAR provides various resources for REALTORS to use throughout the year, including safety tips and best practices, articles, a Safety Toolkit for Associations, a real estate safety course, training videos and more.

Plan to attend Concord Police Department's National Night Out this evening from 5 to 8 pm at Rollins Park, 100 Broadway ~ stop by CRBR's booth where our Community Outreach Committee will be handing out lots of fun kids stuff - what kid doesn't like fidgets? To the Concord Community! We're letting our community know that REALTORS do more than sell houses ~ REALTORS CARE ABOUT OUR COMUUNITY!
