Father’s Day is always hard because my husband is impossible to shop for! 😂

This year I got him the Ray-Ban Meta Wayfarers so he can record house showings and walkthroughs… and I’m secretly hoping he’ll let me “borrow” them for my art storytelling videos. 🤭🎨🏡

One of the things I love most about being an artist is that somehow your circle of friends becomes filled with other creatives. 🎨💙

I absolutely love it when artist friends send me photos of their works in progress. Seeing each layer, each detail, and watching a piece come to life reminds me of the storytelling I try to create in my own art.

There is something so beautiful about witnessing the journey before the masterpiece is finished. Creativity shared with creative souls is truly a gift. ❤️✨

A special closing today led to a very special commission. I closed on an Assist Living facility. I am honored that the owners of Annie’s Harbor entrusted me to create a painting for their lobby, named in memory of Annie, the owner’s beloved mother. I happily pressed pause on my current series and picked up my brushes for this meaningful piece. I can’t wait to bring this vision to life.

Yep… this is what I do to entertain myself and keep from being bored. 😊

I’m always looking for something creative to bring back to life. This time, I upcycled another piece for my little animal series, which has become one of my favorites. I love taking something old and forgotten and giving it a fresh look and a new story.

Creating is my happy place. 🦁🎨

One of my favorite things as an artist is giving forgotten pieces a second life. This vintage print from the 1970s had yellowed with age and had no signature at all. I brightened it, restored it, and made it come alive again.

People often ask if artists can sign upcycled work. The answer is yes. When you transform a piece and make it your own, you become part of its story.

Just because something is old, faded, or overlooked doesn’t mean it has lost its beauty. Sometimes all it needs is someone willing to see what it can become. ❤️🎨

greatest gift an artist can receive isn’t just someone purchasing a painting—it’s knowing that your work touched someone’s heart.

One of my collectors gave me this handwritten note, and with her permission, I’m sharing it. This beautiful message means more to me than words can express and is something I will treasure forever.

Thank you, Gaye for your kindness and for allowing my artwork to become part of your home and your story. Notes like these are priceless and remind me why I paint.

A painting may leave my studio, but knowing it brought joy to someone is the greatest reward of all.
