FOREST UPDATE: 06/23/2026 - - Roadside Herbicide Application

Below is the re-opening schedule for the McDonald, Cameron, and Dunn Forests:

• The south portion (McDonald Forest, southwest of Lewisburg Saddle) will re-open TODAY, 6/24 around 1pm*
• The central portion (McDonald & Cameron Forest, northeast of Lewisburg Saddle) will re-open Thursday morning, 6/25
• The north portion (Dunn Forest) will re-open Friday morning, 6/26

Starting today, the McDonald-Dunn is CLOSED to the public for roadside herbicide application.

The OSU Research Forests are conducting roadside herbicide applications across the McDonald, Dunn, and Cameron Forests. This work includes treatment along all roads, roadside ditches, and cut-banks.

To ensure public safety, the forests are closed to the public June 22 through 26, 2026.
