I am thrilled to announce my candidacy for Newton County Commission District 5. As your Commissioner, I will represent the people of this District and tackle the challenges we face. As a long-time resident of Newton County, I am dedicated to advocating for your interests and working tirelessly to support and enhance our community. I comprehend the issues that matter most to our District and the standard of living we all aspire to maintain. Growth is inevitable, and it can't be stopped. Still, by electing me as our Commissioner, we can ensure that our property values and quality of life, which we want for our children and grandchildren, are protected, and we can all live in a safe environment.

As your County Commissioner, I will continue to work diligently for everyone, as I have for many years. My commitment to transparency, accessibility, open communication, and accountability is unwavering. I will keep you all informed to ensure our voices are heard and our needs are met.

My experience in local government and community organizing has equipped me to take on this crucial role. I have worked with residents, business owners, and community leaders to solve our difficulties. I know how to bring people together and achieve results. I will always prioritize the needs of our community and work hard to ensure that our District and Newton County's growth reflects the needs of the residents in District 5.

As we continue to see large companies and developers enter our District, I will not compromise on the beauty and rural lifestyle we all cherish. Having been in real estate sales and management for over 32 years, I know that with the right commissioners, we can attract great businesses and quality housing while still preserving large tracts of land, farms, "real green space," and housing on larger land tracts. We must safeguard why people moved to this county and District 5.
