Ron and Cujo are home! ❤️

When Ron, an Army Veteran, came to The Bridge, he needed a safe place to stay with his service dog, Cujo. At The Bridge, they found shelter and a place where they could stay together, while Ron also received care management and mental health support as he worked toward permanent housing.

Today, Ron and Cujo are stably housed in their own apartment.

Our Outreach team and Employment Specialist hit the streets alongside the Dallas Police Department and the City of Dallas Emergency Management & Crisis Response to meet our unhoused neighbors where they are— offering shelter connections, safety resources, and job support.

No one should feel forgotten. Everyone deserves a path forward.

🌡️ When the heat index reaches 117°F, it's uncomfortable for many of us. For someone living outside, it can be life-threatening.

Extreme heat dramatically increases the risk of dehydration, heat exhaustion, and heat stroke. The Bridge Day Shelter is open every day, providing a place to cool down, access water, and find support.

As temperatures continue to rise, so does the need for bottled water, electrolyte drinks, and other hydration supplies.

⚽ While Dallas welcomed the world for FIFA, our Outreach Team kept showing up.

In June alone, they provided services to 178 individuals experiencing homelessness, connecting them with shelter, healthcare, housing resources, and hope.

The crowds may have packed up, but the need remains.

Thank you to our Outreach Team for showing up every single day!

In just three months, 215 Guests have found a place to call home!🏡

But housing is just the beginning.

🔑 Did you know that 95% of Bridge Guests remain housed after one year? That's because our support doesn't end when someone receives a set of keys.

Through ongoing care management, we help our neighbors navigate life after homelessness, connect with community resources, and address everyday challenges that help them stay stably housed.

Housing isn't just about opening a door. It's also about helping people build a future.

Today, we joined Midtown Improvement District to celebrate the opening of the Resilience Outreach Center, a new initiative focused on supporting individuals experiencing homelessness in the Midtown area.

One of the day's most meaningful moments was the announcement that the center has been named in honor of our retiring President and CEO, Dr. David Woody III. Dr. Woody also had the honor of cutting the ribbon as we celebrated this exciting milestone.

The Bridge is proud to provide on-site care managers who will conduct intakes, assessments, and connect individuals to the resources and services they need on their path toward stability.
