I have a listing appointment on Thursday, and the seller’s only request was that I make sure to bring my fishing pole. 🎣😂

Truth be told, it’s been a while since I’ve been fishing. Some of my favorite childhood memories are sitting in a boat with my dad at Calaveras Lake before he passed away. Those are memories I’ll always treasure.

After moving to Denton at age 10, I quickly became a city girl. Although, if you ask John, there’s still a little country left in me. He occasionally takes me fishing, but apparently the hardest part is remembering I’m supposed to be quiet. 🤣

I’m especially excited about this property that’s coming up. It’s one of those places that makes you stop and dream a little. If I didn’t have two kids in college, I’d probably be trying to buy it myself so Holden could have some land to enjoy.

One of the things I love most about real estate is that no two days are ever the same. Every client has a different story, a different property, and a different vision. Sometimes that means discussing market stats and pricing strategies, and sometimes it means grabbing a fishing pole and talking about life by the water.

Walking out of the office and locking up the pink door for the night. 🩷

Most people see the closing photos, sold signs, and social media posts.

What they don’t always see are the 6:00 AM text messages, the calls between appointments, the contracts at dinner, the negotiations at ballgames, and the emails that somehow still come in at midnight.

Today started around 8:15 AM and ended at 9:43 PM at the office, but the truth is real estate doesn’t really have office hours.

The market is still a little wonky. We have plenty of active listings, price conversations, inspections, negotiations, and lots of moving pieces every day.

But I’m incredibly grateful.

And most importantly, amazing clients who continue to trust me with one of the biggest decisions of their lives.

As Hillary reminded me today, I’ll probably miss this chaos when January rolls around.

For now, though, I’m embracing the hustle… because apparently having two kids in out-of-state colleges isn’t going to pay for itself. 😂

Thankful. Tired. Blessed. Ready to do it all again tomorrow.
