So excited for all the new homeowners getting ready to move over the next few months 🏡✨ There’s nothing like the feeling of starting fresh in a new space!

Moving can be a lot—but a few smart tips can make it so much smoother:

📦 Use the right size box for the right items
Heavy items like books and dishes go in small boxes. Save the big boxes for lighter things like linens and clothing.

🔩 Keep hardware with the furniture
Put screws and bolts in a zip-top bag and tape it to the piece—future you will be very grateful.

🏷️ Label more than just the room
“Kitchen” is helpful… but “Coffee Maker” is even better when you’re looking for your morning fix ☕️

📱 Take photos before unplugging electronics
A quick picture saves you from the “where does this cord go?” puzzle later.

🎒 Pack an essentials box
Think of it as your “first night survival kit”—toiletries, chargers, clothes, important documents, and yes… toilet paper!

♻️ Consider reusable moving totes

Monday morning in Westchester County, NY…and it already feels like summer ☀️

I’m heading out for a walk at Hart’s Brook Park & Preserve—a great dog-friendly park. Tree-lined, peaceful, and just the right way to ease into the week…taking my dog along for some quiet company.

Afterwards, I’ll grab an iced coffee somewhere in Ardsley, NY—sometimes the best plans are the simplest ones.

It’s little moments like this that make living in Westchester, NY so special.

More often than not, yes.
In Westchester County, NY, I see buyers choose location again and again. Being closer to town, an easier commute into New York City, walkability, and lifestyle tend to matter more long-term than a little extra square footage.
