In Memory of Rex C. Wright: A Remembrance from the Wright Family
It is with a heavy heart that we share the passing of Rex C. Wright, who passed away peacefully on October 15, surrounded by his family.
Rex was a man of strong character, high expectations, and an unwavering belief in doing things “Wright.” He expected excellence, took pride in his work, and believed that commitments mattered. Those who knew him understood that he could be a formidable presence, but beneath that exterior was a man with a big heart who deeply loved his family.
In 1995, Rex and Derek co-founded Wright Homes. What began as a partnership between father and son grew into a successful company that continues to thrive today. Building that business together was something they both cherished. In time, Rex’s other sons, TJ and David, joined the company. Together, we shared the challenges, the decisions, the victories, and the responsibility of building something that would last. We shared a commitment to excellence and a determination to do things well.
Beyond the business, we will always remember the lessons Rex taught, the standards he set, and the example he left behind. His influence is woven into who we are, how we lead, and the way we approach our work at Wright Homes.
We are grateful for the opportunity to build something meaningful with Rex. Thank you, Dad, for the foundation you built, the standards you set, and the example you left for all of us. You will be deeply missed and never forgotten!
