𝗧𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝘄𝗲’𝗿𝗲 𝗽𝘂𝘁𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗽𝗼𝘁𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗹 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗰𝗿𝗲𝘄𝘀. 𝗕𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗸 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗯𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗮 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗜𝗼𝘄𝗮 𝗰𝗿𝗲𝘄𝘀 𝗵𝗮𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗴𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗶𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗵 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱.

A professional baseball stadium is a massive undertaking, and its structure is what makes everything else possible. Tons of steel, precast concrete, and structural components had to come together with precision to create the framework, seating areas, and spaces that define the ballpark.

Behind every beam and connection was a team working together to make sure each piece arrived at the right place, at the right time, and was installed correctly. With the project moving on an accelerated 18-month schedule, 𝗰𝗼𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗯𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗳𝗮𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗱𝗲𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆, 𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗿𝗲𝘄𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗶𝗲𝗹𝗱 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝗰𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝘁𝗼 𝗸𝗲𝗲𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗺𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱.

The work happening overhead and behind the scenes may not be what fans notice when they walk through the gates, but it is what gives the ballpark its strength, shape, and permanence.

Phase II is underway, and big changes are coming to the Iowa River Power Building in Coralville!

Zander Solutions: Foundation insulation, traffic coating, and waterproofing

With a compressed timeline of just 𝟭𝟴 𝗺𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵𝘀, the project required an accelerated approach to design and construction. Rather than waiting for the entire design to be completed before construction could begin, the team worked collaboratively to advance the project on multiple fronts at once.

This required an extraordinary level of coordination between the design team and crews in the field. Crews often completed a task, packed up, and went home for the night without knowing exactly what the next day would bring. They had to be ready to adapt, solve problems, and keep moving as the project developed around them.

That kind of schedule required an incredible amount of 𝘁𝗿𝘂𝘀𝘁, 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗰𝗼𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 between the designers, contractors, and crews in the field. It was a true team effort, with everyone working toward the same goal: delivering a professional baseball stadium in just 18 months.

Building a professional baseball stadium in just 𝟭𝟴 𝗺𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵𝘀 required an extraordinary level of preparation, communication, and coordination. Long before the first pitch, this team was strategically working to stay one step ahead, solve challenges, coordinate details, and help keep an unbelievably compressed schedule on track.

Months of planning and collaboration with Be Rooted Chiropractic & Wellness are paying off, as construction moves quickly in Benton, Wisconsin.

Since June, the project has progressed from a vacant lot to a completed foundation and framing well underway.

Gronen is proud to serve as both Construction Manager and Architect for the project, with members of our team also contributing to the construction of the building.

We’re excited to watch Be Rooted’s new space take shape!

From foundations to rising walls, Rider on Main is rapidly taking shape.

Major League Baseball is coming back to the Field of Dreams in Dyersville, Iowa.
The legendary movie sight is ready for its next big moment as the Minnesota Twins take on the Philadelphia Phillies.

For the Gronen team, this game is especially meaningful. We’ve had the privilege of serving as Project Developer and Construction Manager, helping transform an ambitious vision into a permanent stadium worthy of one of baseball’s most iconic settings. From evaluating the initial plan to right-sizing the project and it’s budget, it has been an incredible project to be a part of.

Now, the lights are on, the field is ready, and baseball’s celebrated stage is returning to Dyersville.

Only a few weeks remain before the restoration of the James Sullivan Building is complete! The dust of construction is giving way to the warmth of home as hardwood floors, kitchen cabinets, countertops, carpet, and the final details come together. It's always exciting to watch a historic building enter its final phase of transformation.

Owned and managed by Fischer Companies, the completed project will feature a mix of one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments designed for modern living while preserving the building's historic character.
