Residential cooperative community for adults ages 62+ offers a variety of housing options from apartments to cottages among 29 acres, including 1500 feet of waterfront. Londonderry is located in Easton, MD on the Tred Avon River. We have over 140 cottages and 26 apartments.

We are saddened to share that we lost one of our Maryland Big Tree Program - recognized trees this past month—a beautiful American Beech.

At the time it was inducted into the Maryland Big Tree Program, its measurements were truly remarkable: a circumference of 12 feet, 4 inches, a height of 104 feet, and an average crown width of 80 feet. This magnificent tree was nominated in 2018.

Below is what one of our residents had to say about this extraordinary tree, along with a few photos of the stump that remains. It is truly incredible to reflect on just how large and majestic this tree once was, and the legacy it leaves behind on our campus.

They've earned bragging rights and claimed the coveted Quiz Time trophy... well, not literally. The trophy is staying safely in the Clubhouse, but you know what we mean!

Great job to all who participated, and we'll see everyone next month for another round of fun and friendly competition!
