Local races matter because local representation matters!

While campaigns for governor, other statewide offices, and U.S. Congress dominate paid media and the attention economy, down-ballot local races are just as important to voters!

On Tuesday, June 16, Edmond voters will have a chance to select party candidates for Oklahoma County Commissioner District 3, Oklahoma County Assessor, and several state legislative races that include portions of Edmond city limits.

Density is the solution to traffic, affordable & attainable housing, boosting local businesses, curbing rising infrastructure costs, property taxes, & gas prices, and preserving our natural environment.

"Excited" would be an understatement...

The University of Central Oklahoma recently released a long-awaited RFP for redevelopment of 17 parcels of university-owned property along the west side of University Drive.

This is the next big step in development of the Broncho Block as a walkable, mixed-use district with housing, hotels, restaurants, shops, and entertainment venues that enhance the "college town" experience in Downtown Edmond!

Some might say the measure of a good sports bar is its chips and queso. Others use the buffalo wing as a yardstick. The house margarita is another favorite standard of measurement. But a memorable po-boy? One worthy of its own menu page? With high expectations, I saddled up to the bar at Frosted Mug bit.ly/4aAiocK

Can't say enough good things about the Route 66 Blue Hippo Festival. You know Stephenson Park is a community gold mine when you see this many families out and about.
