I just attended an amazing REALTOR luncheon! We heard from our city official Mr Tullos, all about new infrastructure, the water, sewer, streets and street lights, community college, airport, and so much more! I am quite proud of our city and the way we keep moving forward and growing. Also we learned our realtor of the year is Amy Moore and our affiliate of the year is Michael Walden. Congrats to them!

It's been a great day! I finally made it back to the gym after a couple of weeks of sickness and busyness. Went to staff meeting today. Made it back to Days for Girls (our sewing ministry had taken a little break too). And then made it to 6 out of 7 of the REALTOR Open Houses. The last one I just did a drive-by to see the nice corner lot. One of them had stepped up their game a little and gave a great prize and check it out, I won!!!

Doing a little mid-year review... About to fill up my second plaque. I've had an amazing first half of the year! But the reality is- today I just took off the market my longest lasting listing. This piece of land has been on the market two months shy of 2 years. I finally broke down and decided to buy it myself to help the seller out. And she decided to keep it and build something for herself on it, lol. So, today it came off the market and now I have nothing listed, nothing under contract, and nothing in my immidiate pipeline. That's a scary feeling for a realtor. But I know God will provide. I have a few listings that are in the process of being prepared... But they could be months out.
In the meantime, trying to purchase this little property with an investment partner has taught us so very much! We were going to try to move a house to put on it and what a major endeavor that would be! I'm halfway relieved it didn't work out.

I'm proud of this accomplishment, but we're just getting started. Looking forward to helping even more families and continuing to serve the Wiregrass the best way I know how.

Long version of my profile...
Born and raised on the family farm, I have a great respect for people who have settled in an area. But I also felt a sense of adventure moving around as a military spouse; from NC, to Germany, AL to GA, and NY back to AL. Every few years we were buying and selling a home and learning a new community. I found a sense of belonging when stationed at Fort Rucker, AL and eventually found my way back to this area. Enterprise truly is a "City of Progress". I have been a REALTOR since the spring of 2014. My prior teaching career influences my ability to educate clients on the process of buying and selling homes. I enjoy the flexibility to volunteer and be a grandma. My husband and I are very involved in the community and promote musical abilities. Roy opened a music store in the spring of 2016. He teaches lessons and I love going to the events at Hoobler Music. My hobbies include singing in choirs, baking, and puzzles. Now that you have gotten to know a little about me, I would love to meet you and get to know you. I am quick to respond, very organized, and here for you when you need me!

I am shifting gears for the school year. In the summertime I helped out with grand kids and did an extra one-on-one summer school program. Still doing real estate, but what you focus on expands and I know I need to focus back on real estate a little more... So here's my plan. I'm going to get back to a normal routine of working morning shifts. And keep my afternoons open for appointments, school pickups when necessary, and tutoring. I have a degree in Elementary Ed, and enough confidence to help a child who needs that true one-on-one / keep them focused kind of learning. I only have 4 days available and will charge $50 for each 1.5 hour session. One child could do that once or twice a week and really notice a difference. If you're child is having trouble reading or with math on an elementary level 3rd - 5th grade is perfect age for me to step in and help. This is not a homework help... I can be a study buddy but that's not the purpose of this. And this is not a tutoring center where everyone has to be hush hush because others are studying and learning. It is truly one-on-one and I make it fun and learn the child's interests to help them learn the best. Kim Adams Hoobler
