📊 Florida Housing Update — June 2026
Home prices for single-family houses ticked up slightly to a median of $369,000, and more buyers are putting homes under contract (pending sales up 8%), even though there are fewer homes available to choose from — a sign the market is still competitive for sellers, though homes are taking a little longer to sell than last month. Condos and townhomes, on the other hand, got a bit more affordable, with median prices dropping to $239,000, giving buyers in that segment more negotiating power. Bottom line: it’s a good time to buy or sell depending on what you’re looking for, so reach out and let’s chat about your goals! 📲

Ok, so I’m showing a property for the second go around in Berry, KY. My clients wanted to walk the perimeter, which included tall grass and trees. Now mind you, I dressed in my jeans and boots and told them to dress appropriately.

I came home and started the task of tick hunting. I found three on my legs which had to crawl up the inside of my jeans and down into and up my boots. Two of those little suckers were hunkered down on my top half.

I’m yelling for Jason because one of the little sh*ts was pretty attached to my upper half and way too close to my boobie hood. He had to pluck that little sucker off and free me from my sucking bo***ge.

By this point, I was convinced these ticks had held a staff meeting and decided I looked like prime real estate. Apparently, my showing skills were just that good.

Jason finished off the offender while I stood there questioning every life choice that led me into the woods. The clients got a great showing of the property, but the ticks apparently thought I was the one being shown.

Moral of the story: If your Realtor tells you to wear boots and long pants, she’s not being dramatic. She’s trying to prevent you from becoming an all-you-can-eat buffet for Kentucky’s tiniest vampires.

On the bright side, I can now officially add “tick removal coordinator” to my real estate resume. Buyers agent. Negotiator. Marketing specialist. Tick bait. It’s all part of the service. 🤣🤣🤣🏡🕷️
