UPDATE: Just got a request from Fort Morgan Volunteer Fire Chief Lee SteIner to remind everyone in FORT MORGAN..the DOUBLE RED FLAGS mean you too!!! The GULF is closed for your own protection.

Right now, they are trying to save an adult and a child who are being swept out by the rip currents. STAY OUT OF THE WATER!!!

DOUBLE RED FLAGS are now flying along Alabama beaches. GULF WATERS ARE CLOSED. Surf conditions have continued to deteriorate as Tropical Storm Arthur heads this way.

Going into the Gulf while double red flags are posted could result in fines or jail time.
