Throwback Thursday: VanTrust Gateway 600

This week, we’re looking back at VanTrust Gateway 600, one of Paul Hemmer Company’s first major projects in the Louisville market.

Completed in 2017, this 592,800 SF speculative industrial facility at River Ridge Commerce Center helped establish our presence in the region and opened the door for continued growth in one of the Midwest’s most active logistics corridors. The project featured precast concrete wall panels, 60 dock doors, drive-in access, clerestory windows, industrial HVAC systems, and extensive site development.

Nearly a decade later, Gateway 600 remains an important part of Hemmer’s Louisville-area story and a strong example of how one well-executed project can help build long-term market momentum.

It’s been a while since we checked in on progress at the Lindner Center of HOPE expansion, and the site has come a long way.

The project recently reached a major milestone with its topping out ceremony, marking the completion of the primary structural steel framework. This 74,855 SF expansion in Mason, Ohio will add new inpatient treatment spaces, therapeutic environments, and enhanced clinical infrastructure to support the Center’s mission of advancing mental health care.

Great work by the entire project team as this important healthcare project continues to take shape.

Paul Hemmer Company is proud to share that the OneNKY Center has received the ABC Ohio Valley Chapter Excellence in Construction Eagle Award in the Commercial $10–25 million category.

Located in Covington, Kentucky, the OneNKY Center represents the kind of project we are proud to help bring to life: a high-quality, community-focused facility designed to serve as a regional hub for collaboration, leadership, and civic progress.

👷 Team Member Highlight | Jeff Guenther

With decades of commercial construction experience, Jeff Guenther plays a critical role in leading field operations and keeping projects moving safely, efficiently, and to Hemmer’s quality standards. As a Senior Superintendent, Jeff coordinates day-to-day site activities, manages subcontractor teams, and works closely with owners and design partners to keep projects on track from start to finish.

Over the past seven years at Paul Hemmer Company, Jeff has helped deliver a variety of multiuse and light industrial projects across the region, including the recently completed OneNKY Center in Covington, Kentucky.

Outside of work, Jeff enjoys boating, wakeboarding, pickleball, and golf. And in a twist that sounds made up but isn’t, he also signed as a non-restricted free agent with the Kansas City Royals organization after college. ⚾

Thanks, Jeff, for your leadership, experience, and commitment to every project and team you support.

🏗️

Before 226 Grandview became home, Park 75 was where a lot of the work got done. For 20 years, this building wasn’t just office space, it was the hub for projects, partnerships, and steady growth.

We didn’t just occupy it, we built it. A multi-tenant office building designed for flexibility, efficiency, and long-term performance, reflecting the same practical, no-nonsense approach we bring to every project.

📍 Same campus. Different chapter.
➡️ Today, we’re right across the parking lot, still building in the same community we’ve been rooted in for over a century.
