For the last decade, I’ve focused less on doing more and more on managing my energy.

I learned when my energy is highest
When it’s lowest
What I do well with high energy
What I do poorly with low energy
What fills my tank
And what drains it

One thing is crystal clear. When I start my day right with sleep, training, and proper fuel, I give myself the best chance to operate at my highest level all day.

If you’re not even thinking about where your energy comes from or how to improve it, you’re missing the boat.

Stop obsessing over what you’re doing.
Start paying attention to the energy you have to do it.
