Zillow Hit With RICO Allegations

Big news in real estate this week: Zillow is now facing expanded class-action allegations that include RICO (Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act) violations.

The updated lawsuit claims that Zillow’s “Flex” program may have steered buyers toward certain agents and lenders, while collecting large referral fees behind the scenes. It also alleges that some buyers may have been pushed toward Zillow Home Loans even when it wasn’t in their best interest.

To be clear, these are allegations, and the case is ongoing. But it’s a strong reminder that not all real-estate partnerships are created equal, and transparency matters.
