As we get closer and closer to meeting Hadley, I had started having some back pain (because apparently carrying around a whole human will do that šŸ˜‚), and I had heard so many great things about chiropractic care leading up to birth.

I wanted to be really intentional about preparing my body for delivery, so I figured it was finally time to see what all the hype was about, which brought me to Restoration Family Chiropractic.

And honestly, from the very first interaction I was like… yep, these are my people.

When I first called to schedule, Dr. Adam himself called me back. Then I walked in for my first appointment, was immediately greeted by the sweetest smiling faces, and saw a friend from church walking out. The good vibes were there immediately.

There are kids playing, organic snacks and water, and clean products everywhere. Christian music is playing throughout the office, and their mission is rooted in serving God and their community. They even had a school supply drive going on before school started to support a local elementary school. Obviously, I LOVED that. šŸ¤

It’s super family-friendly and just feels HAPPY in there.

One of the things that was especially important to me was their experience with pregnancy and families. Both doctors are certified in the Webster Technique, a chiropractic technique commonly used during pregnancy. Being very pregnant and wanting to do what I can to prepare my body for Hadley’s arrival, that was a big one for me.

But what has probably impressed me the most is how much they actually CARE.

My initial evaluation with Dr. Adam turned into a whole conversation about preparing for birth, things I should be thinking about, what we could work on with my body, and how important the people supporting you are through all of it.

He actually encouraged me to bring Kyle to my follow-up appointment so he could be part of the conversation and understand how he could support me too.

I just thought that was so cool.

I’ve had several adjustments now and apparently I’m a twice-a-week chiropractic girlie these days, which sounded like a lot at first, but I genuinely look forward to going.

And while my experience has been focused on pregnancy and preparing for birth, Restoration Family Chiropractic works with people in all stages of life—not just pregnant women or families. Whether you’re dealing with back pain, looking for general wellness care, an athlete, a child, or simply curious about chiropractic care, they’re there to help.

Every single time I walk in, someone is smiling, someone is saying hi, there are families everywhere, and the energy is honestly contagious. It’s hard to have a bad day when you walk in there.

And that is exactly why I love doing these Small Business Spotlights.

Of course, I want to share businesses that are great at what they do, but I REALLY love sharing the ones that make you feel genuinely cared for.

Restoration absolutely does that. šŸ¤

So whether you’re pregnant, have a family, dealing with pain, looking for wellness care, or have just been thinking about trying chiropractic care, definitely go check them out!

Another Frederick small business doing really good things for our community. šŸ„¹šŸ¤

Deanna and I met years ago on Facebook and we have the same name, which obviously meant we had to be friends. šŸ˜‚ That turned into golfing, grabbing drinks, hanging out, and somewhere along the way, she became one of my really good friends.

It was such an honor to help her buy her forever home and sell her first home, and even more special when she asked me to help her parents find a place nearby. šŸ¤

With Deanna expecting her first baby in December and me getting ready to welcome Hadley, it feels so special to have our families entering this next season of life together. Having her parents close was really important, and we found them the perfect place near Deanna and their new grandbaby.

And as if that wasn’t sweet enough, their new home is only 12 minutes from MY house šŸ˜‚ so we’re gaining a bonus set of local grandparents too.

It’s funny how life works. Real estate has given me so much, but the relationships will always be one of my favorite parts. Yes, I get to help people buy and sell houses, but somewhere along the way, clients become friends, friends become family, and then you get the honor of helping their families too. 🄹

So thankful for this full circle moment and SO excited to have them closer!

One of the things our clients tell us they appreciate most is that when they hire one of us, they really get all of us.

Think about building a house. You wouldn't want one person doing every job. You'd want the best architect designing it, the best electrician wiring it, the best plumber handling the plumbing, and the best craftspeople in every area. Buying or selling one of your biggest investments should be no different. You deserve a great negotiator, marketer, transaction coordinator, stager, photographer, and support team all working together toward one goal: getting you the best possible outcome.

You'll have one dedicated agent leading you through the entire process and serving as your primary point of contact. Behind the scenes, though, our team is constantly collaborating to make sure nothing falls through the cracks.

Together, we're solving problems, answering questions, coordinating appointments, managing deadlines, reviewing contracts, and making sure every detail is handled. You may hear from different members of our team about scheduling, reminders, or next steps, but that's simply because we're all working together to keep your transaction moving.

Another advantage is the collective knowledge we bring to the table. Every day, we're working with different buyers, sellers, lenders, inspectors, contractors, and other agents. We often hear about listings before they hit the market, know what's coming soon, and learn about opportunities long before they're available online.

Because we share that information with each other, our clients benefit from insights and opportunities they might not have otherwise.

One thing we've noticed over the years is that when clients leave us reviews, they rarely talk about just one person. They talk about the team. They mention how everyone communicated, stepped in when needed, and made them feel supported from beginning to end. To us, that's one of the greatest compliments we can receive.

Buying or selling a home is one of the biggest financial decisions you'll ever make. We believe the best results come from great people working together.

When you hire one of us, you don't just get an agent. You gain the experience, knowledge, and support of an entire team.

That's the Iron Oak difference.

Here are 5 reasons I might NOT be the Realtor for you... 😘

#5 You don't care about community.
I don't just sell homes in Frederick County, I genuinely love living here.

You'll find me hosting women's events, supporting local businesses, grabbing coffee around New Market, cheering on my clients, and probably convincing someone they need to try my favorite local spot.

Because home is about so much more than the house.

#4 You think real estate should be all business.
Sorry, but if we work together you're probably getting dog photos, baby updates, workout stories, coffee recommendations, and maybe even an invitation to one of my community events.

The best part of this business is the people.

#3 You believe clients should stay clients.
Some of my favorite friendships started as real estate transactions.

There is something incredibly special about walking alongside people through life's biggest milestones and then getting a front row seat to everything that comes after.

The friends that become clients and the clients that become friends absolutely warm my heart.

#2 You think a sign in the yard sells a home.
We're going to respectfully disagree.

Professional marketing, strategic pricing, social media, agent outreach, open houses, creative ideas, and a whole lot of hard work behind the scenes is what helps homes stand out.

Your biggest asset deserves more than crossing our fingers and hoping for the best.

#1 Faith, family, and serving people aren't important to you.
Everything I do starts there.

My faith guides how I serve. My family keeps me grounded. And helping people find a place to build a life they love is something I never take lightly.

At Iron Oak Home Team, we're not just helping people buy and sell houses.

We're helping people build roots, find their community, and create a life they're excited to come home to.

And if that sounds like your kind of Realtor...

I'd love to be your person. šŸ’•

07/22/2026

One of the most important parts of my job isn't just helping people buy and sell homes, it's making sure they're getting the absolute best service possible.

Gi and Jordan are longtime family friends, and when they were ready to buy their very first home, they fully intended to work with me. What an honor that was. ā¤ļø

The only challenge? Their search was over two hours away from where I work most often. Could I have made the drive? Sure. But I knew that wouldn't have served them in the best way possible.

Instead, I connected them with a trusted agent in the area, someone I've personally vetted and would trust with my own family. Because at the end of the day, my goal is never to be involved in every transaction, my goal is to make sure my clients are taken care of.

And wouldn't you know it... they found the perfect home and closed in no time! ✨

I did make the drive to celebrate with them because buying your first home is a huge milestone, especially at such a young age, and I couldn't be more excited for them as they start this next chapter together.

Whether you're moving across town, across the state, or across the country, chances are I know someone who can help. And if I recommend them, it's because I trust them to care for you the same way I would.

If you're thinking about making a move, reach out. Even if it's not in my backyard, I'd love to help you find the right people and make sure you're in great hands every step of the way. šŸ’•

People think Realtors just sell houses, hand over the keys, and move on to the next client. And sure… maybe some do.

But me? I’m over here months later wondering if they ever finished that bathroom remodel, if their daughter loves her new school, if they finally started the job they moved here for, or if life in the new house turned out the way they hoped it would.

I get way too excited for my clients. Like… genuinely excited. šŸ˜‚

And honestly, if you don’t invite me to the baby shower, baptism, wedding shower, or random backyard cookout after closing, I might take it personally lol.

Some of my favorite memories from this job have happened after the transaction was already done. I’ve been invited to baptisms, baby showers, birthdays, lunches, kids’ first birthday parties… one of my clients invited me to CONGO for their wedding, clients from Ethiopia invited me over to traditional dinner and coffee (YUM). Those moments mean more to me than people probably realize.

It’s never been just ā€œhelping people buy and sell homesā€ it's always been helping people find home, the stability it provides and creating a community of good people.

When I moved here, I remember how badly I needed connection. I wanted people who felt familiar… people who felt like home. Somewhere along the way, that’s exactly what my clients became.

Now this place feels like home because of the people in it. These aren’t just past clients to me. They’re my people.

And honestly, that’s the part of this job nobody really talks about — the relationships that stick long after closing day.
