"Competition makes us sharp, but collaboration makes us successful." — Lori Reeder, Office Manager, Welcome Home Realty Group

Q: Why are you involved with FCAR and how do you support the REALTOR® community? 👥
A: Because I want our industry to shine. ✨ Serving on the Community Service committee since 2021 has shown me the incredible power of a united Realtor community. Stepping into the role of Chair for 2024 and 2025 is an honor that allows me to put our collective values into action. We aren’t just selling homes; we are invested in the people who live in them. I support this community because when we serve together, we change the public’s perception of what it means to be a Realtor.

Q: What does 'collaboration' mean to you in this industry? 🤝
A: Competition makes us sharp, but collaboration makes us successful. I’ve always believed that Realtors are at our best when we view each other as partners in the same mission. At the end of the day, we are all working toward the same finish line: getting people into homes where they can build their lives. By supporting one another and sharing our expertise, we don't just elevate our own businesses—we elevate the entire Frederick community.

Q: What's something you’re passionate about outside of work? 👦👧
A: My grandchildren!

Please join us in thanking Lori for her years of service to the FCAR Community Service Committee and the impact it has made to the Frederick community through supporting local nonprofits.

Frederick County's housing market remained active in May with strong sales activity, growing inventory, and home values holding steady. 🏠 Let's take a look at last month's stats. 📊

• 385 homes sold, up 12.2% from May 2025 and 21.8% from April
• 412 new listings came to market, an 18.1% increase year-over-year
• Active listings rose to 675, up 24.5% from last year
• Months of supply increased to 2.25, providing buyers with more options than a year ago
• The average sales price reached $536,184, up 0.8% year-over-year
• Homes continued to move quickly, with a median of just 12 days on market

The spring market continues to show healthy activity, with more inventory entering the market while buyer demand remains strong. Increased choices for buyers and steady home values are helping create a more balanced marketplace as we move into the summer season. ☀️

REALTORS® and Strategic Partners from our Community Service Committee put words into action by volunteering at Steadfast, Standing Firm Against Youth Homelessness. Members grabbed brushes, rollers, and sunscreen 😎 to help revitalize an aging fence with a new coat of paint.

Steadfast is a local nonprofit that provides safe, stable housing in a home-like environment for homeless youth & youth transitioning out of foster care. More than just a bed, Steadfast offers a supportive space where youth can create their own future story & build a strong foundation for lifelong independence.
