Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills were introduced, specifically the ACCEPTS distress tolerance framework. Twin Image Counseling Services participated in the event and provided psychoeducation on the intentional use of these skills during periods of heightened distress. Emphasis was placed on managing emotional intensity without avoidance, and on returning to the situation once a calmer, more regulated state is achieved.

Setting boundaries with children is a vital part of healthy development. Clear and consistent limits provide structure, create a sense of security, and support the growth of emotional intelligence. Effective boundaries are established through calm, confident leadership and communication that is both firm and respectful. Rather than discouraging emotions, the focus should be on guiding behavior—helping children understand what is acceptable while still validating how they feel. Offering choices within appropriate limits can further promote independence and decision-making skills.
