Selling your own home to save cash? It might just cost you a fortune. 🏡
JUST SOLD: 1801 N Miramar Ln in Clovis. This closing comes with a tough lesson.
My clients initially decided to sell this home themselves back in February. Unfortunately, they entered the market at a price that was simply too high. Months passed. No sale. Picture this: sitting at your own open house inside a gated community waiting for a buyer who never came. It's a glorious mess, but you don't have to tackle it alone.
Eventually, they called me. We repositioned the property, brought it to market professionally, and finally got it CLOSED.
But here is the hard truth. The home ultimately sold for significantly less than what it could have commanded had it been positioned and priced correctly from day one. That is a difficult, expensive lesson when dealing with your largest financial asset.
The market is acting a little wild right now, like your uncle after too many IPAs at the BBQ. Buyers are cautious. Pricing, presentation, and marketing matter more than ever. Trying to save money by selling it yourself can sometimes end up costing far more than the commission you were trying to avoid.
Huge thanks to Cade Berrett and his team for bringing the buyers and helping get this one across the finish line!
There are plenty of things worth doing yourself. Selling your largest asset probably shouldn't be one of them.
Contact me today before you put a price on your home. Let's turn this market madness into magic.
