Not all wall pe*******ons are created equal. 👀
This is the difference between detailing a pe*******on and simply drilling a hole and filling it with silicone.
A proper pe*******on detail is designed to manage water, movement, drainage, and the continuity of the wall’s water-resistive barrier.
Because silicone should be part of the system—not the system.
Those little details matter.
Every pipe, wire, conduit, or mechanical pe*******on is another opportunity for water to get into the wall assembly. When it’s properly detailed, you may never notice it.
When it’s not?
That tiny hole can become a big problem behind the wall.
Build it right. Detail it right. Don’t rely on caulk to fix a bad pe*******on.
