If your agent asks you to sign an agreement before showing you homes, don’t panic. This has become a standard part of the home buying process.

The agreement is designed to create clarity from the beginning so you understand who is representing you, what services your Realtor is providing, and how compensation works.

Signing a Buyer Representation Agreement does NOT mean you are committing to purchase a home or a specific property.
