USA Starter Homes: A Rare Shift for Buyers
As someone who’s worked with home buyers in Virginia since 1982, I know how challenging it can be to find the right moment to enter the market—especially for first-time buyers. We’re seeing a rare shift in the availability of starter homes across the USA, and it’s tempting to wait for rates to drop. But timing the market is rarely straightforward. If borrowing costs fall, the resulting surge of buyers can actually drive prices up, making homes even harder to secure. My role is to keep you informed and help you weigh these decisions with clarity and confidence, always grounded in integrity and experience. Whether you’re buying or selling, I’m dedicated to guiding you through every market turn with up-to-date insight and steady leadership.

USA: Why ‘Price Stability’ Is a Myth
There’s a common belief that price stability should be the goal of any economy—but in reality, it’s more of a moving target than most people realize. In the US, when the cost of one item rises, it often means spending is shifting elsewhere, not that everything gets more expensive at once. Think about how technology has become more affordable over the years, yet the price of limited luxuries like hotel rooms, sports tickets, and college tuition keeps climbing. The truth is, the central bank can’t control the countless factors—from global production to daily transactions—that influence prices. As someone who’s made a career out of interpreting market shifts to guide clients through buying and selling homes, I’ve seen firsthand how a steady dollar could unlock new opportunities by freeing up investment currently tied up in inflation hedges. Still, prices will always ebb and flow—sometimes reflecting genuine progress in our economy, not just decline. Navigating these changes with integrity and knowledge is what I strive for every day here in Richmond.
