Being a mom changed the way I look at homes,
and honestly, the way I guide my clients too.
It’s not about perfect finishes or trendy spaces.
It’s about how your home supports your daily life.
The school mornings.
The messy counters.
The quiet evenings.
The chaos in between.
And truthfully… I fall into the comparison trap too sometimes.
I walk through beautifully staged homes all the time,
perfect lighting, spotless counters, everything in its place.
It’s easy to start thinking that’s what home is supposed to look like.
But those homes are staged to sell.
They’re meant to look perfect for a moment… not lived in for a lifetime.
What I have to remind myself, and what I remind my clients, is this:
Building a family isn’t done in perfect spaces.
It happens in the chaos,
the sweet moments,
the hard decisions,
and the very real day-to-day life.
These are the hills I stand on because I’ve seen how much the right decisions can change a family’s daily life.
Not perfect homes—
functional ones.
Not flashy decisions—
smart ones.
Curious…
Which one would YOU add to this list?
