After 10+ years in this Harbor Club home at Lake Oconee, a family is saying goodbye — and moving all the way to their new place two miles down the road. 🙂

Access and convenience will drive another boom in Lake Oconee real estate, and the lake is growing to meet it. Putnam County already has the expanded US 441 carrying residents and weekenders from Atlanta straight to the front door of the lake. Now, with the widening of Lake Oconee Parkway (SR 44) and the development of Oconee Towne Center, Greene County is building its own front door at the I-20 interchange.
Three phases, 10.5 miles, roughly $184 million, and a new grocery store for Lake Oconee squarely in the conversation.
I flew the corridor last week to show you where it actually stands. Nothing has been announced about which grocery store chain is coming. When Jim Baker from developer, Baker and Lassiter, confirms it, I will too!
