Not every transaction is as seamless behind the curtain as it appears at the closing table. Even after this successful closing, I continue to work with DR Horton in the Charlotte region to resolve an outstanding issue that has significantly impacted both myself and the referring agent involved in this transaction.
As buyer representatives, we are often the last line of defense for our clients. We advocate, communicate, problem-solve, and protect our clientsβ interests when communication gaps arise. Unfortunately, situations like this highlight the need for builders and their partners to strengthen relationships with Realtors and referral partners who help bring buyers to their communities.
While builder incentives and preferred lender programs may seem attractive on the surface, they can sometimes create challenges when communication is lacking and accountability is absent. Buyers deserve a team that prioritizes transparency, responsiveness, and service from contract to closing and beyond.
