Agents.. be forewarned foe potential closings!!

⚡ GEORGIA POWER CUSTOMERS IN HENRY COUNTY: PLAN AHEAD BEFORE AUGUST 31
If your home or business uses Georgia Power, there is an important service change coming that could cause some confusion if you are not expecting it.
Georgia Power will begin a major customer-system update on Monday, August 31.
From August 31 through September 7, access to several customer services will be limited, including:
• Online account access
• The Georgia Power mobile app
• Online chat
• Some start, stop, and transfer-of-service requests
Full account access is expected to return the morning of Tuesday, September 8.
WHAT HENRY COUNTY CUSTOMERS NEED TO KNOW
✅ Your electricity will NOT be shut off because of the system update.
✅ If your bill would normally be due during the update period, Georgia Power says the due date will be extended.
✅ You will still be able to make payments during the update:
By phone: 1-800-672-2402
Online: through Georgia Power's BillMatrix payment system
In person: at participating authorized payment locations
✅ Outage reporting will remain available.
For an outage or electrical emergency, call 1-888-891-0938. The Georgia Power outage map will also remain available.
⚠️ MOVING SOON? PAY ATTENTION TO THIS PART
During the update, Georgia Power says start, stop, and move-service requests will be limited. If you need to make an account change, especially if you are moving around Labor Day weekend, handling it before August 31 could save you some frustration.
Georgia Power recommends customers make upcoming payments and necessary account changes before the update begins.

📌 This applies to Georgia Power customers. Other electric providers serving parts of Henry County are not affected by this Georgia Power system update.
This is probably worth sending to a family member, neighbor, landlord, or anyone you know who may be moving or dealing with a Georgia Power account during the first week of September.
