Hi all!

Gasconade County Abstract Company is looking for someone that would like to work full-time in our Hermann office.

We need someone that works well in a fast-paced environment, can work closely with clients, lenders & realtors, and someone that is proficient in Word and Outlook. That being said, one of the main duties would be data entry into our computer software, which we will train you to do. Prior experience working in an office setting would be preferred.

If this is something you may be interested in or if you know of someone that may be interested please feel free to reach out over Facebook messenger or email me at [email protected]

Thank you!!

After our previous post about Walter and his soda fountain, our Owensville office had a thought.

Why can’t we be serving up sodas?

Now, you can “Sip & Sign” at the closing table!

It all started with a dream to own…. A soda fountain?

In 1926, Walter Mundwiller purchased our building at 118 E. Fourth Street in Hermann. Prohibition was in full swing, and his establishment was a gathering place for friends and family to talk over a cold drink.

Before his death in 1943, Walter was able to witness his son, O.A. Mundwiller, graduate law school and come back to Hermann— hanging a shingle out in the same building where he used to grab a drink and the small town gossip.

While there are no soda jerks dolling out drinks today (much to the disappointment of our staff), we can still see the remnants of this time in our history in the numerous scuffs and cigarette burns forever sealed into our floors.

Cheers to you, Walter!

We are so thankful and so excited to celebrate with you!

Today we’re proud to shine the spotlight on Jessica Hoener, our amazing Senior Title Officer at Gasconade County Abstract Company!

For 19 years, she has been a dedicated part of our team, bringing experience, knowledge, and a true heart for serving our community. Born and raised right here in Gasconade County, she understands the people and the history of the place we’re proud to call home.

When she’s not working hard for our clients, she’s busy being a mom of three and giving back as a dedicated 4-H leader.

In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and reading a good book — a perfect balance to her busy days!

We are so grateful for her nearly two decades of dedication, integrity, and hometown pride.

Thank you for everything you do for our team and our community!

Reporting for FinCEN’s new anti-money laundering rule is going into effect next month. Although this new rule has significant reporting requirements and workflow implications for the industry, GCAC is equipped for the change and our customers can be confident that transactions which fall under the new rule will be handled with expertise, compliance and efficiency.

If you have any questions as to whether your upcoming transaction will fall under the FinCEN reporting requirements please reach out!

Over the next week we will be discussing what FinCen is all about.
